ABOUT ME
Meet Our Team
Experts in Clinical Services
Pauline VanderGrinten, MA, LPC, LMHC, NCC, BC-TMH, QS has been working in Grand Cayman with Education Connection since 2003. She was sought out as a Cognitive-Behavioral Specialist for treating OCD/ Anxiety disorders and impulse control disorders. She remained on island for one year and then returned to USA in September 2004. From there Pauline continued her work at the Center for Anxiety Disorders in Wisconsin, as well as, traveling globally to meet the needs of her Cayman clients. She returned shortly after to Cayman to continue her outpatient work and was invited to be the Behavior Specialist at the inception of Hope Academy in 2009.
Dr. Samantha Tibbetts - Director
With over 30 years of experience in working with children and adolescents with mental health and a doctorate in Special Education, Dr. Samantha Tibbetts brings a rare blend of clinical insight, educational expertise, and heartfelt dedication to her role as Director of Hope Academy.
Dr. Tibbetts has spent her career advocating for children and adolescents whose emotional and behavioral needs require thoughtful, individualized support. Her work is rooted in the belief that every student deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued, not just in the classroom, but in every corner of their school experience.
At Hope Academy, she leads a team committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and healing-centered environment. Through trauma-informed practices, collaborative care, and family engagement, Dr. Tibbetts ensures that clinical services are not just reactive, but proactive, empowering students to build resilience, self-awareness, and confidence.
Her approach is deeply personal: she sees the whole child, honors their story, and works tirelessly to help them thrive. Under her guidance, Hope Academy’s Clinical Services have become a vital part of the school’s mission to nurture not only academic success, but emotional wellness and lifelong growth.
What makes Hope Academy Clinic especially unique is its dual role: it provides clinical services to students during the school day, while also serving the wider community. This integrated model allows for continuity of care and extends the clinic’s impact beyond the school walls, offering support to families and individuals who are not enrolled at Hope Academy.

Chanel Pantry is your first point of contact for navigating the financial side of care. With expertise in insurance benefits and payment coordination, Chanel works closely with each client to clarify coverage, explain costs, and ensure a smooth start with their therapist. From verifying benefits to setting up billing preferences, Chanel makes the process transparent and stress-free. Have questions about insurance or billing? Chanel is always happy to help, because understanding your care shouldn’t be complicated.
