About Me 

Pauline VanderGrinten has been working in Grand Cayman with Education Connection since 2003.  She was sought out as a Cognitive-Behavioral Specialist for treating OCD/ Anxiety disorders and impulse control disorders.  She remained on island for one year and then returned to USA in September 2004.  From there Pauline continued her work at the Center for Anxiety Disorders in Wisconsin, as well as, traveling globally to meet the needs of her Cayman clients.  She returned shortly after to Cayman to continue her outpatient work and was invited to be the Behavior Specialist at the inception of Hope Academy in 2009.


Through Pauline’s persistence, determination, and drive, Hope Academy’s Clinical Services began in 2011, Hope Academy became a Licensed Health Care Facility (HPC/HCF/107) growing to 15 CPAM Licensed Clinicians ranging from Mental Health Counselors, a Psychiatrist, Psychologists, Neuropsychologists, Speech & Language Therapist, and BCBAs.  Pauline is currently employed as the Clinical Director & Supervisor of Hope Academy's Clinical Services and a Mental Health Counselor. 


Pauline graduated from UW-Milwaukee (Milwaukee, WI, USA) with a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s degree in Counseling from Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI, USA).  She completed her clinical practicum at Rogers Memorial Psychiatric Hospital (https://rogersbh.org/)  in Oconomowoc, WI, USA, where she received extensive training in treatment for OCD/Anxiety, Mood, high functioning ASD, Hoarding, Eating, BFRBs and Impulse Control Disorders in Residential and partial hospitalization programs, as well as, intensive outpatient and outpatient programs. 


Pauline gained valuable experience from being directly trained by experts in the field of Anxiety/ OCD research and treatment.  She was supervised by one of the world’s leading experts, the Chief Clinical Officer and Clinical Director of the OCD Center and CBT Services at Rogers Memorial Hospital.  After her training, she continued her employment at Rogers Memorial Hospital and the Center for Anxiety Disorders until coming to Grand Cayman.  Pauline’s CBT expertise was also utilized by the local government providing in-home assistance to clients with diagnoses of hoarding, including animal hoarding.


Pauline is eclectic in her approach believing not only one therapeutic approach will fit all clients.  She has been specially trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP), Habit Reversal, Prolonged Exposure including imaginal and in-vivo exposure, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Behavioral Activation, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and Culturally Sensitive Therapy.

About Me 

Dr. Charles Motsinger is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.  He completed his joint Family Medicine-Psychiatry Residency training in the National Capital Area-Washington D.C.  He has been in clinical practice since 1997.  He has performed varied clinical duties including outpatient psychiatry, inpatient psychiatry and emergency psychiatry at the District of Columbia’s Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program.  Dr. Motsinger has clinical experience with both children and adults treating a full spectrum of psychiatric disorders including ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar, schizophrenia, substance abuse and dementia.  He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

About Me 

Carla Mueller, MsEd, LC is a Licensed Counselor in the Cayman Islands with the Council for Professionals Allied with Medicine and is also a Licensed School Counselor in Wisconsin, USA. Carla completed her Master’s Degree of Professional Counseling at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, USA. She joined the Hope Academy team in January 2016.  In addition, she holds a professional membership with American School Counseling Association (ASCA) as well as the Cayman Islands Psychological Association (CIPA).

 

Carla has 10 years of experience working as a counselor within schools and clinical settings.  Within these settings Carla has facilitated social skills; taught coping skills for anxiety and stress; ran group counseling on topics such as social skills, friendship skills, girls’ groups, self-esteem, stress, and parenting.  Carla has also completed the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training in August of 2017 and utilizes these skills when working with children with Autism and their families.

 

Carla believes that we all have the potential for change with the support of a nonjudgmental environment focusing on the strengths already present within each one of us. Carla prides herself on using a collaborative approach while creating a safe and welcoming environment.   Within her outpatient therapy Carla utilizes several approaches including Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Culturally Sensitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Strength Based Therapy to build a working relationship with her clients to help foster change. Currently, she works with children and adolescents who are affected by Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Mood Disorders but also works with the family unit to assist with parenting.  She also utilizes Positive Parenting and Love and Logic parenting to assist her client’s parents.

About Me 

Dr. Julie Goodman is a Chartered Psychologist licensed with the Council for Professions Allied to Medicine (CPAM) in the Cayman Islands and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the United Kingdom. In recognition of her contribution to the field of Psychology she was made an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society in 2002. Julie has over 30 years of experience in successfully working with children, young people, families and schools to devise and deliver a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions. She provides high quality psychological services including consultation, assessment, diagnosis, intervention and individualised programming with children and young people who have a wide range of complex learning, behavioural, social and mental health needs. She also has a great deal of experience working with children and young people in care, foster and adoptive families and residential facilities.  

 

Dr. Goodman believes in working positively, constructively and effectively with children and their families and has worked extensively with children and young people who have issues with Anxiety, Self-esteem, Emotional Regulation, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Conduct Disorder, Trauma, Attachment and Learning Difficulties. About Me 

Dr. Kai Morgan-Campbell is a Clinical Psychologist with a Master’s and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Business Administration. During her doctoral studies her introduction to the world of assessments was an eye opener and almost immediately became her passion amongst the gamete of roles that a psychologist could play.  After working at the University of West Indies and the University Hospital of the West Indies for the past 15 years as a lecturer and a consultant, respectively, she tendered her resignation and made a gigantic step into the fullness of being an entrepreneur and consultant, where she continues to hone and expand her psychological skills in various areas, especially assessment.

She maintains a private practice in Jamaica where she continues to see individuals of all ages, couples, families and offers some group intervention for a broad array of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, trauma-related loss, grief and bereavement and conducts psychological assessments for the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, Personality Disorders, Neurocognitive Disorders, Autism Spectrum disorders and general emotional issues. To date, she has conducted and supervised over 2,000 assessments, has taught Assessment to Master and Doctoral students in Clinical Psychology and conducted workshop and training sessions for same.

Dr. Morgan-Campbell continues to teach part-time at the UWI, Mona Campus in the Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology programme and has also done adjunct teaching in the past at UWI, Cave Hill Campus (Barbados), the International University of the Caribbean (Jamaica), and Caribbean Graduate School of Theology (Jamaica).

Dr. Morgan is highly committed to the growth of psychology in the Caribbean region and in her role as the President of the Jamaican Psychological Society, she has ensured that this is a primary objective for several Ministries and non-profit organizations with whom JamPsych is aligned as the organization continues to advocate for the development of the profession and the protection of the consumers.

Dr. Jill Kelderman is a board-certified Clinical Neuropsychologist. She is a licensed psychologist in the United States, both Florida and Iowa, and the Cayman Islands.  She received extensive, focused training in the Midwest. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology. This means Dr. Kelderman has undergone the highest level of examination by her peers and demonstrated excellence in her field. Dr. Kelderman’s clinical practice consists exclusively of pediatric neuropsychological evaluations and represents years of specialization within that field.

Claire Leadbeater is a licensed Speech & Language Therapist through the UK’s Health & Care Professions Council and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.  She is also licensed with Cayman’s Health Practice Commission.  Claire trained at City University London and was awarded her Master’s degree with merit in 2005. 

Claire has established herself as a therapist of high caliber on island for the last three years. She has extensive experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders. For these children and families she has undertaken a wide range of specialist training including the TEACCH Autism Program (https://www.teacch.com); Picture Exchange Communication System – P.E.C.S.; www.pecs.com); Intensive Interaction (http://www.intensiveinteraction.co.uk) for people with significant learning disabilities and/or autism who are still at the early stage of communication; and the Sensory Integration Perspective (http://www.wpspublish.com)

Todd also maintains registration in Washington State as a School Psychologist. He completed his educational studies in 2016 from Minot State University when he graduated with his Education Specialists Degree (Ed.S.).

 

Todd has over 10+ years of experience and has worked in both clinical and education settings focusing on the treatment of anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and many other psychological disorders. Rebekah brings over two decades of experience working in the field of human services to her clinical practice. Her career began as a sign language interpreter with an AAS in Human Services and later earned her BSW and MSW Summa Cum Laude from Texas State University.

 

Since 2013, Rebekah has provided direct clinical care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across diverse settings—including schools, specialty and community mental health clinics, crisis centers, and trauma recovery programs—in the U.S., Cayman Islands, and Ghana.

Natalie Cutting is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and International Behavior Analyst with the Council for Professionals Allied with Medicine.  She joined the Hope Academy team in February 2019.

Natalie began her career in Applied Behavior Analysis while studying psychology at Western Michigan University.  She enrolled in a practicum course utilizing ABA in an early intervention clinic and fell in love with teaching and playing with children utilizing evidence-based practices to help them achieve their full potential.  She worked as a behavior technician providing direct ABA services to children of all ages in the Chicagoland area in both the home and clinical setting before moving to Grand Cayman in 2013.  She continued to provide direct ABA services at The Wellness Center while earning her Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis with an Emphasis in Autism from Ball State University and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in May of 2018.    

Natalie has over 13 years of experience providing ABA therapy for children of all ages teaching a variety of adaptive and social skills.  She strives to meet children where they are and guides them to make meaningful gains using their strengths and interests.  She celebrates all successes both big and small and is thankful to be a part of their journey in life.

About Me 

Bailey Bauman is from Boston, MA, USA, and she moved to Grand Cayman in the summer of 2023 with her dog, Bernie. She has been working in the field of ABA for over 15 years and has been in the BCBA role for 3.5 years. She has a wide variety of experience, working in adult day programs, group homes, schools, individual homes, clinics, and in the community. She earned her bachelor's degree in special education and Math from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and then completed her master's degree in ABA at the Florida Institute of Technology. Bailey is happy to be a part of the team at Hope Academy.

About Me 

Caitlyn earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Texas State University in 2015 and a Master's degree in Special Education from George Mason University in 2021. Caitlyn started working with children with special needs in 2016 and has been supporting students in multiple settings, including school, home, community, and clinics ever since. Caitlyn has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2018 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2024. She has lived in Cayman for 1 year now. Before joining Hope Academy, Caitlyn was supporting learners in clinic, school, and home settings here in Cayman.

About Me 

Lechelle A. Wallace, MSc, BCBA, IBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who is passionate about supporting individuals and families through compassionate and neuro-affirming care. Before becoming a BCBA, Lechelle worked directly with children and families as a behavior technician, which strengthened her commitment to providing services that are respectful, person-centered, and grounded in meaningful relationships. She earned her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia in April 2022, and achieved certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) and International Behavior Analyst® (IBA®) later that year.

Lechelle remains actively involved in advancing the field, serving as a member of both the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) and the Caribbean Association of Behavior Analysis (CABA), where she contributes to public policy efforts supporting access to ethical and effective services across the region. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO), collaborating with colleagues globally to promote best practices and uphold compassionate standards in behavior analysis.

Currently pursuing her doctoral studies in Applied Behavior Analysis at Endicott College under the advisement of Dr. Noor Syed (NYC), Lechelle is dedicated to ensuring that behavior-analytic services empower and celebrate the diverse ways individuals learn, communicate, and experience the world.

About Me 

Lilie is an International Behavior Analyst (IBA) originally from France, whose journey in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began five years ago as a Behavior Therapist. After quickly realizing her love for the field, she pursued her master’s degree in ABA and has been practicing as an IBA since 2024. Having lived in many different countries, including in Europe, Asia, and Oceania, Lilie brings with her a deep appreciation for working across cultures and perspectives.

 

She is especially passionate about two areas of practice: supporting her team through Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) practices, where her focus is on empowering staff to feel valued and confident in providing the best possible care to students; and exploring Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-informed approaches, including ways to foster flexible thinking, derived learning, and support students’ wellbeing. Above all, Lilie is dedicated to a compassionate, modern vision of ABA, one that advocates for children and uplifts the teams who work with them every day.
